Rapid deforestation caused by charcoal burning, uncontrolled wildfires, excessive firewood harvesting, and traditional brick making is destroying forests at an alarming rate. This has resulted in severe land degradation, loss of biodiversity, declining soil fertility, and increased vulnerability to climate change. As natural ecosystems disappear, communities are experiencing worsening poverty, food insecurity, prolonged droughts, and reduced access to clean water and sustainable livelihoods.

1. Green Energy & Sustainable Livelihoods Program
Our Green Energy & Sustainable Livelihoods Program empowers women, youth, and farmers with practical clean energy solutions and income-generating opportunities. By reducing dependence on charcoal and unsustainable tree cutting, we help communities protect the environment while building resilient livelihoods.
Our Approach
We implement practical, community-led solutions that provide clean energy and create sustainable sources of income:
- Establish tree nurseries
- Develop community woodlots for sustainable fuelwood and timber
- Train women and youth to produce energy-efficient cookstoves
- Promote briquette production using agricultural waste as an alternative to charcoal

2. Climate-Smart Agroforestry & Restoration Program
Our Climate-Smart Agroforestry & Restoration Program empowers smallholder farmers, women, and youth to restore degraded land, increase agricultural productivity, and build sustainable livelihoods.
By integrating trees into farming systems and promoting climate-smart agriculture, we help communities regenerate ecosystems, improve food security, and create lasting economic opportunities.
