Empowering Education in Rural Northern Uganda: Giving Every Child a Chance to Learn
Rural schools in Northern Uganda continue to face major challenges that affect children’s access to quality education. Many schools lack adequate classrooms, safe sanitation facilities, desks, books, and essential learning materials. These conditions contribute to low attendance, poor learning outcomes, and high dropout rates, especially among vulnerable children.
SORUDEO is transforming education and youth development in rural Northern Uganda by improving school attendance, learning conditions, dignity, and employability through
Child sponsorship to support access to education for vulnerable children
WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) programs in rural schools
Construction and renovation of classrooms, latrines, and urinal shelters
Provision of desks, books, and essential learning materials to rural schools
Vocational training for disadvantaged rural youth, equipping them with practical skills for employment, self-reliance, and economic development
Community education and awareness on key social issues to strengthen unity, participation, and social cohesion
Through these integrated interventions, we are not only improving education but also empowering young people and communities to build a stronger, more resilient future.
